The success of Israel breeds envy, hatred, and homicidal rage in the Arab world because it points out the miserable failure of modern Arab culture. Rather than face and take on its own problems, it's easier for the Palestinians to practice its disgusting brand of murderous victimology.
"Miserable failure" is so true. Perhaps one of the more minor examples but very visual if you saw any of the clips this weekend of the telethon for martyrs hosted by the Saudis? Saudis - all men in the shots I saw manning the phones and computers - decked out in full headgear and flowing white robes that appeared to be getting in the way of picking up phones, using keyboards etc. None of the equipment in that room - phones,'puters, tv production equipment had been invented, manufactured or improved anywhere in the Arab world. Quite striking.
Just as their culture was never able to develop their own oil extraction and distribution - that would be too much like work. Seriously, the ME ideal is to have enough servants or slaves that one never has to turn a tap. We laugh at the 72 virgins but what about a paradise that also awards palaces of gold and 10,000 slaves? A more useless people has never existed. No wonder lefties and anti-America academia feels such affinity for them.
