"Sounds to me like this citizen has more loyalty to his "high level attainment" than to his homeland. How very sad."

Interesting enough, being a neighbor now, I saw him this morning before he went to work. I had two followup questions and he readily provided answers.
(we already chat just like ole pals now it seems/we get along nicely) I asked him if he knew when this Code 8 was issued and he said "..a couple weeks ago."
Then, out of curiousity, I asked if Israel was attacked, would he be willing to quickly go back and help?
He said, "No, I've put in my twenty years in the Israeli army; my children are here now and they need a father."
Then he volunteered that he is only here in the U. S. on a work visa and he jokingly mentioned that he has not and probably won't be applying for a green card - so if he loses his job he will have to leave immediately and be sent back to Israel.

That is interesting! The fact that he is in this country for a short time. There is a thing called political asylum that he could apply for since Isreal is our ally and is under attack. Or would this turn into another Elian Gonzalez deal?
