Everybody in Israel must be directly effected by this violence. I used to live in Jerusalem, and still have family there. At least ten of the attacks took place in neighborhoods where I lived or visited frequently. In fact two bombs went off on the same block where I used to live.

My nearest connection to Jerusalem is in a school run by the Episcopal Church that we were raising money for. Right in the middle of our campaign, a bomb went off in front of the school, shattering the windows. Unless I saw the report of a FReeper (American in Israel) I would have never known that it had happened, since nobody except the bomber was killed. It just happened to happen just down the block from American in Israel, so he heard the blast.
