Arabs On Star Trek
The Saudi Ambassador to the U.N. has just finished giving a speech, and walks out into the lobby where he meets his American counterpart. They shake hands and as they walk the Saudi says, 'You know, I have just one question about what I have seen in America.'
The American says, 'Well your Excellency, anything I can do to help you I will do.'
The Saudi whispers, 'My son watches this show Star Trek and in it there are Russians and Blacks and Asians, but never any Arabs. He is very upset. He doesn't understand why there are never any Arabs in Star Trek.'
The American laughs and leans over. 'That's because it takes place in the future.'
I think we should get the UN to pass a resolution (you know its a joke already huh??) forcing Arabs to replace their Islamic religion with Star Trek worship... wouldn't you rather deal with millions of trekkies than suicide bombers??
Radical Islam is THE BEAST!
"Moderate Islam" is its Trojan Horse!
That's the problem- prior to 911, I subscribed to the theory that most Muslims were OK, the problem was with their leaders and a small band of fanatics. This is also a charateristic of other groups and religions, too.
911 and the "street-dancing Arabs" sure changed that, and the all-too-typical suppression of that story just confirmed for me that something awful was unfolding below the radar.
The atrocities against Israel have only further hardened my heart.
As far as I am concerned, the burden of proof- to prove that Islam is not a religion of medievalism, ignorance, blind hatred to nearly all I hold dear- is squarely on the shoulders of Islam, and I find them wanting...
Why can't the West's political class understand this fairly simple proposition and act accordingly? Oil?
