Arnold Schwarzenegger campaigns for more after-school care funding

Sacramento -- Arnold Schwarzenegger turned in 750,000 signatures yesterday to qualify a ballot initiative promoting after-school care for the November ballot.

The Republican movie star turned in almost twice as many signatures as necessary to win a spot on the fall ballot.

Gee, Arnold, think they have to work to pay for the higher taxes that occur with higher government spending, like the kind you're advocating?

I guess living with a Kennedy is having an effect after all.

It won't be long before this "convenience" becomes mandatory and they don't let you get your kids before 6:00 pm.

When do the dorms go up? Liberals and such who like the idea of these kinds of programs imagine the kids actively engaged in sports or studying or crafts--their little faces all lit up listening to yet another dull lecture. Yet in reality, the kids would mostly regroup into the familiar groups, mill around, and waste time until their parents managed to pick them up.
