According to Schwarzenegger, more than a million California children are at home alone after school because they have either a single parent or two parents who work. Gee, Arnold, think they have to work to pay for the higher taxes that occur with higher government spending, like the kind you're advocating?

It won't be long before this "convenience" becomes mandatory and they don't let you get your kids before 6:00 pm.

When do the dorms go up? Liberals and such who like the idea of these kinds of programs imagine the kids actively engaged in sports or studying or crafts--their little faces all lit up listening to yet another dull lecture. Yet in reality, the kids would mostly regroup into the familiar groups, mill around, and waste time until their parents managed to pick them up.
