We are still taking donations at the Patriots Rally For America site. Thank you all so much for your continued support.

C-SPAN "may" cover the rally. Many other news organizations will be covering the rally.

Earlybirds are encouraged to help us set-up. Some of us will be there as early as 5:30 a.m. - Metrorail opens at 8 a.m.

Please note that the Washington Post Protest Map (linked above) has the wrong location plotted. The rally is on the northwest quadrant of the Washington Monument (17th St. and Constitutional Ave. N.W.)

Have a safe trip to our nation's capitol and see you tomorrow.

EAGLES UP!

I may just have to spend a few nights in the Dog House,
to make it to the rally. The wifey hates it when I am not at home on the weekends.
I hope to make it down, if not. Good LUCK.....

26th Marine Expeditionary Unit Returns from Afghanistan to Camp Lejune

< snip >But by firing lots of shots, they defended their positions from enemy probes, including one four-hour gun battle in January at the Kandahar airport and a 40-minute firefight at the encampment, called Camp Rhino, where Taliban and al-Qaida prisoners were detained before being flown to the Navy base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

The Marines suffered no casualties from enemy fire, but nine Marines supporting their operations in Afghanistan did die: seven Jan. 9 in a KC-130 crash and two Jan. 20 in a CH-53 helicopter crash. < snip >

Bataan ARG arriving Sat. from record deployment

The Bataan amphibious ready group and its roughly 1,860 sailors will return to Norfolk Saturday after a record-setting, seven-month deployment.

The ready group -- the amphibious assault ship Bataan, the amphibious transport dock Shreveport, and the dock landing ship Whidbey Island -- spent nearly four months of the deployment in the Arabian Sea, off the coast of Pakistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

The ready group deployed Sept. 19.

The Bataan and Shreveport will be coming home to Norfolk Naval Station and the Whidbey Island to Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base. < snip >

*Late Night Bump*

All the best 'morrow.

During your show, somebody, please, somebody, say a good word to that American, the greatest American, in fact, by whose monument you will be standing, for all Americans, George Washington.

Without him we have nothing to shout for, no flags to wave. Look up to that glorious building and thank God for George Washington.

Look up, and look upon the Washington Monument as it is, a living monument to the very best in and of us all.
