Having been attacked by over 100 armed BATF agents on a Sunday morning in late February 1993, the Branch Davidians, a small band of fundamentalist Christians living at a Church commune near Waco, Texas were surrounded. They had been surrounded for 51 days, subjected to psychological warfare techniques and surrounded by federal law enforcement agents who had lost all patience. What the BATF couldn't accomplish, the FBI was going finish. Despite the presence of innocent infants, children, adolescents and women the FBI ordered a military style attack on the buildings of the compound. The rest is history......

As I do on each April 19th, I remind all Freepers of the murder and mayhem caused by the BATF, FBI and Justice Department. They, by their actions, caused the death of 76 citizens. They burned to death a Church congregation. To this day not one federal agent has ever been charged with wrongdoing. Offer a prayer for those Branch Davidians who still languish in a federal prison. Justice remains undone!

Well, I'm not Cato, but I do agree that burning innocents is considerably worse than anything they alleged that Koresh did. And they were allegations only. IMHO, just cover for the government's actions.

The tanks created flues, and sprayed highly flammable admixture to the military CS gas. Methyl chloride is something I use to remove paint. That it was sprayed from three directions into a frame structure containing eighty men, women and children using kerosene lamps for light (since the windows were covered, and the electricity cut) is tantamount to a massacre.

It is not subject to debate that federal police fired on the building--such was the finding of Carlos Ghigliotti, whose decaying body was found in his home lab. He followed a series of investigators who had met with accident, illness and death, preventing their assistance to the Davidian case.

A Delta operative rode a tank to place a shaped charge on the roof of the Concrete Room, which blew a concave hole down onto the twenty to thirty women and children therein who were subsequently reduced to shrivelled human briquets.

The "warrant" and the waiver of posse comitatus were obtained under obscenely false pretense, the same big lies on which the demonization of the Davidians was based: In fact, there were NO drugs or drug manufacturing, the charge of child molestation might have applied years prior before David Koresh's leadership but not contemporaneously, the firearms charges were preponderantly false--and David Koresh had in fact invited the BATF to visit and inspect--which they of course declined.

The front doors, as well as the entire complex, were destroyed as evidence. Thirty bodies of Davidians liquified when the forensic cooler was "accidentally unplugged".

The "re-enactment" was objected to as unrepresentative of actual conditions, and the British infrared firm was deemed complicit with federal agencies.

What was presented as a battle against evil was indeed that, but the evil was the force on the outside which murdered those within.

When burned, CS releases a deadly gas, hydrogen cyanide. And when methylene chloride -- the dispersing agent of choice -- is burned, it releases deadly hydrogen chloride and chlorine. Both chemicals, in turn, release large amounts of carbon monoxide

If anyone saw the photos of the children int he underground bunker-bus...they could clearly see the children died before burning. Some of the children actually broke bones from the uncontrolable contortions caused by the cyanide.
