FYI, people are doing just that. For NYC you can click on where you are and where you want to go and it will compute the route with the fewest cameras. It's pretty cool.

Thanks. As usual, I invent things after they've been invented. My curse. I have quite a list of 'inventions' that turn out to have already been invented; if they had not, I suspect I would be rich.

At 14, I "invented" (in my head only, alas) the Compact Disc. I discovered "Fredkin's Number" before Fredkin. The difference was that he published and I did not!...etc. Sigh.
