God bless Msgr. Clark.
It's too much to hope for, I guess, but would that John Paul II accepted Egan's resignation and appointed Msgr. Clark the new Cardinal of New York.

No gay I've ever known fits this description, Well then who is it who introduces them to the 'joys of homosexuality' and helps them 'discover their true sexual selves"?

If Egan gives Clark any flack over his homily there are quite a few parishes who would gladly accept the Monsignor as their priest.Msgr. Clark is a regular on EWTN (the Catholic television network, based in Irondale, Alabama). I'm sure they'd find a place for him. But New York needs him more, because there are so few here who dare to speak the truth.

Well then who is it who introduces them to the 'joys of homosexuality' and helps them 'discover their true sexual selves"? Usually no one. I was just as surprised as you are when I heard people find religion themselves without having been indoctrinated first. But it happens, often.

I take special offense to his remark that America is "probably the most immoral country" in the Western Hemisphere. He's out of line with that remark.I don't, because he's right. Don't get me wrong, I love this country. But if you consider just the rate of abortion along (not to mention rampant sexual perversion), we are by far the worst in the Western hemisphere.

Picky, picky, picky! Monsignor Clark is no doubt right since our only competition for least moral country in the hemisphere is Canada. How many years of studies would you like to see before Monsignor Clark, a first rate preacher, should be allowed to apply his rhetorical blowtorch to the relevant portion of the anatomies of the lavender mafia?
Do I recall that you are not Catholic? Why is it any of your business what is said in sermons at Catholic Churches? After you answer that, maybe Monsignor Clark can check the stats.

would they say " i just has sex with an 8 year old boy today?" or would they just not mention it? I would have found out even though I wasn't looking for the information. It's a tight community and someone would have known, and word would have gotten around fast.

My hurried math and Two Dollar calculator. Fifty five priests charged and/or convicted from a total of 46,000?

Are this many of the gays you talk about really out there, or am I just very good at choosing my friends, eliminating the scum? You have got to be kidding... I have had the great displeasure to know well a gay and he "hit" upon anything male that he could. He was also a leader in the chicago "community" (although he said the he was committed to his partner). This person was a Methodist minister prior to my knowing him.
I doubt seriously that you have an accurate statistical sample. Gays are by defination abnormal.

I don't know what world you live in, where gays don't recruit young boys. I lived in San Francisco, worked in both the Castro Street and Polk Street districts (the most flamboyantly gay areas in a heavily homosexual city, in case you don't know), and recruiting is going on everywhere, all the time.
You seem also to be ignorant of the information that has come out in this scandal: the vast majority of the complaints against priests involve ephebophilia, NOT pedophilia. We're talking about adolescent boys. This is a problem with homosexuality; pedophilia in the church, by comparison, has been extremely rare.

I've known enough to be a statistically relevant sample. Oh my, that's a bunch of anecdotal BS, what a simpleton you must be!

Monsignor Eugene Clark said his comments "have been misconstrued and misinterpreted." "Worse yet, that trial balloon fell right on my foot -- I think it broke a toe."

I don't, because he's right. If you think that Cuba is more moral than the USA, it's easy to emigrate there (by way of Canada). Dosvadanya, comrade.
