Further, St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, the archdiocesan school for priests, summarily expels any seminarian found to be homosexually active.

St. Charles has "zero tolerance" of homosexual activity, Msgr. Burbidge said, and his 162 seminarians are instructed to report any violations.

Sink, here's at least a partial answer to the question you have been asking on all these threads, and I would bet much money that their graduated priests have a far far lower percentage of pederasty than the national average. Comments?

You are so right! I had a friend who was a newspaper editor and was always needing to find short words for headlines. However, he absolutely refused to use the word gay and used "homosexual" instead. He said that homosexuals had taken a perfectly good word and had destroyed it. We need more editors like him!

When this whole scandal dies down in a couple of years, and people have been exposed and expelled, I want to see the facts, in numbers.

You won't see them. When there's no more blood in the water, the sharks won't be seen anywhere near. The press will do their damage and then move on to the next story (and I think the next story is Robert Blake, by the way). They won't sound the trumpets about the effects of any corrective action taken by the Church. The press will bury that part, and the Catholic Church will be forever tarred as a haven for queers and a dangerous place for kids.

some leading conservatives in the church have urged that all seminaries screen out homosexual candidates for the priesthood.

They may find out that they need to first screen and then weed-out the homosexual rectors and directors of the seminaries. These are the front line leaders who have allowed this to take place. Shake 'em up at the top...it'll trickle down for sure!

Hey, nice job taking my comments out of context. Thanks for the flag and opportunity to post them again. Here they are:

When this whole scandal dies down in a couple of years, and people have been exposed and expelled, I want to see the facts, in numbers.

I want to see what the total number of priests expelled due to sex with anybody underage. Then I want to see the number of priests expelled for having sex with teenage girls, teenage boys, girls under 12, and boys under 12.

I will make a nice little pie chart, showing visually the proportions.

My guess is that the percentage of expulsions by priests who had sex with teenage boys will be 90% of the total.

Wonder if USA Today will put this little pie chart on their front page? And monkeys might fly out of my butt.

Like seeing it again? Makes you squirm, doesn't it. lol!
