IF I remember correctly,that is not what I read about this incident. I remember reading that the police were waiting along the road for him at a roadblock,and that he stopped and opened fire on them because he knew he would be arrested and go to jail. Or at least this is the police version,which is the only version of this incident that will ever be heard. The only other witness is dead.

I feel sorry for his family,but not for him. Seems he was there with a gun in his hands too,and shooting back.

I never said he had been a model citizen before this event,but at least he was man enough to stand up on his hind legs and fight for what he believed in.
