In looking at the bigger picture, tough times are a true test of character. What are we learning about the character of the boy scouts? It is my observation that some are caving to the homosexual demands and some aren't.

That what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Salvation Army appears to have stood tall and I plan on sending them more money. I am waiting to see what BSA does.

I found out about this today:

Carrier Air-Conditioning Corporation has severed funding the Boy Scouts to the tune of $42,025. A long time supporter of
the Scouts, Carrier made the decision because of the BSA policy of protecting boys from homosexual leaders.

This decision will likely have a profound and lasting effect on the boys in the five New York counties served by the
Hiawatha Council: Oswego, Lewis, Onondaga, Jefferson and St. Lawrence.

It seems to me that this $42,000 you're "saving" because you sympathize with homosexual deviants will likely cost
you $ Millions in the long run from lost business from conservatives like myself. It's your call, of course!

The irony of this is that corporate funding doesn't come into play with most church sponsored troops, so the end result of them pulling their funds out is to just make scouts a MORE religous organization than it already is, and thus even less likely to change the policy.

Thanks for the heads up. I don't believe I have owned any Carrier products in the past and I sure won't own any in the future.

Good point............unintended consequences.

Maybe the letter to Carrier should be one of thanking them as well as letting them know they will not get our business?
