Given the Byline of the Editor in Chief, this is probably the Saudi government sanctioned version of
Saudi to Warn Bush of Rupture Over Israel Policy in the NY Times.
Most likely the outcome will be that the Saudis will end up cutting out the US oil majors, and realigning themselves with their European and Asian customers. It will be interesting to see whether the foreign subsidiaries of companies like Exxon Mobil disassociate themselves from the American parent in an attempt to stay in business, as did the foreign subsidiaries of Arthur Andersen.

Just declare them a terrorist organization, say the writing is on the wall, and their kingdom is divided and given to the Hashemites (west) and the Sultan of Oman (east).
House of Saud can take refuge in their villas on the French Riviera, and hope Le Pen doesn't win and deport them.

How do I define terrorism? Anyone who is still struggling with this question is a lost cause.

"Abdullah to do some straight talking"...THAT'LL be a first.
Pardon me for hoping the president dumps a load of horse manure on the prince's royal head.

The peace plan they propose was unacceptable to them in 1947. So they waited till a few hundred thousand die and now they're willing to negotiate.

"Abdullah to do some straight talking"I have heard this phrase many times during the past three weeks.
When has Abdullah or any other Arab ever done any "straight talking"?
To: Lessismore
President Bush to do some straight talking:
"If a WMD is used in America, this happens 20 minutes later.
So tell your editors and mullahs to put this in their water pipes and smoke it."
"IOW, the future of the black moon-god rock is also on the table."

Abdullah is an in-bred low life piece of s#it!

The crown prince has come to the US carrying a message of peace, said an American who is a long-time Gulf analyst. His words should be well-heeded. There may not be a second chance. I hope in the interest of world peace that they will be heeded. Please. We've been hearing this crap for over 30 years and Arafat has yet to allow any peace plan to succeed.
The idea that the "crown prince" now has the words that must be listened to if we want peace...or we won't have a "second chance" is absolutely laughable.

These people are really stuck, not recognizing the significance of 9-11: They will reap what they have sown. They have sown their seed to the wind, and they will reap the whirl-wind. As they deserve.
They really should get it. The peace makers will make peace alright, right over the dead bodies of their enemies. There is no second chance for them.

Absolutely amazing how they think they have any real say in how this whole thing will shake out, that they control the future of the civilized world. The arrogance, or maybe I should say ignorance, is almost comical.

No, I think the Arab world is finally coming to realize that it will take more than just the US efforts if peace is ever to be realized. The Arab world has to do their share in controlling Arafat and his thugs. This is having a serious impact on all the Arab countries and if you think they WANT these nuts, you are wrong.
Bush has offered the Saudis a graceful way to get out of this mess. I don't believe that any of them are very happy about Arafat, but they were hemmed in and there was no way out. Now there is. Prince Abdullah will be the peacemaker, bringing tremendous prestige to his country and worldwide admiration. He will negotiate hard for the Palestinians and Sharon will negotiate hard for the Israelis. In the end there will be peace, Israel will be recognized by the Arab world, and, although there will be minor incidents, the prestige of the entire Arab world will rest on them getting it under control....and they will.
The only one who will not get any credit for this is Bush. But he will know, and so will we.

As Hassan Yassin, a columnist in this paper said, How do I define terrorism? Easy answer, Yassin: Whatever way makes the Jews look bad!
Arab agitprop has become so predictable...

If I were Bush I'd give Abdullah the Straight Talk Express
Lock him in a room with John McCain and inside an hour he'll agree to anything, anything.

Mideast Arabs remind me of Klingons.
They are anachronisms, out of place in a world that has passed them by 100 years ago.

it is important that the Bush administration study Crown Prince Abdullahs plan with the utmost care and then slam-dunk it into the nearest round file where it belongs.
