There is an unsigned band on MP3.com called "Substance Music", their whole deal is to sing about drugs and drug users in the most descriptive, negative ways possible. Their songs "G.H.B." and "Speed" are classic. I do believe this band is the vanguard of a new movement in music, and I like what I'm seeing so far.

It's about time people woke up the fact that there is nothing "glamorous" about drugs or drug addicts. Like all forms of insanity, it has nothing but raw pain at the core, and nothing but pain to offer. Hopefully people will watch Ozzy at home and learn this hard truth for themselves.

There has been a radical sobriety movement called "Straight-Edge" for about 20 years now. It's proponents are generally hardcore punk bands, such as Minor Threat. It's out there, it just doesn't get on mtv.
