FNC saying possible motorcycle gang related.
To: mhking
Today reported it may have been rival gangs who had a shootout on a casino floor. Apparently, several dead.

Here's an update from AP:
Report: Nev. Casino Shooting Kills 4
.c The Associated Press
LAUGHLIN, Nev. (AP) - Four people were shot dead and eight others were wounded inside Harrah's Casino early Saturday, it was reported. Police would not immediately confirm the report.
KGMN-FM in Kingman, Ariz., reported that the shooting occurred on the first floor of Harrah's during the 20th annual River Run, a large gathering of motorcycle clubs that brings up to 50,000 people into the gambling resort.
About 100 people have been taken into custody and bridges over the Colorado River have been shut to traffic, KGMN-FM reported.
Police dispatchers would only confirm a motorcycle gang was involved.

They are reporting over 100 in handcuff in casino. Hells Angels involved. I was going to house-sit for friends going to Bahamas, now they aren't going. Irrational decision, but I'm happy they aren't online and would miss you all. Just heard a report that the guns in Germany were legal. He belonged to a sports club.

These people are going to give motorcycle gangs a bad name.

Motorcycle gang violence between Hell's Angels and Mongols.
Oddly, nearby bridges over Colorado River have been closed.

How many ways are there out of Laughlin? If it means the only way out is crossing the bridges, it means that if they don't have the suspects in custody, they'll use that method to find the perps.
When a suspected murderer was on the run in a stolen truck in northern Door County, Wisconsin (the "thumb" of Wisconsin) a few years back, the sheriff opened the two bridges over the ship canal that the guy had to cross to get to southern Door county, the rest of Wisconsin and the rest of the world. They nabbed him easily.

YIKES! I was at Harrah's in Laughlin last week. Glad I won my money and left town.
To: Catspaw
Crossing the bridges is not the only way out - I would imagine the authorities in Bullhead City, AZ just wanted to make sure this didn't spill over the river into their town.
To: Mr. Steady
They have a description of the perp: About 6 ft. tall, long hair, beard, denim clothing with chains attached, tattoos on arms, pierced ears, and smelly. Everybody has seen him.
Is it an Islamic biker gang?
To: mhking
On Fox now, Dan Dible, Bull Head, AZ City Manager saying that it appears all dead are members of gangs, members of gangs appears to be the perps; to his knowledge, no one yet arrested.

This bike rally used to be a good event. All the retailers and motel owners looked forward to the bikers arriving. A nice pop in business before the summer slow down.

Just got off the phone with my cousin in Laughlin. It was indeed a Hells Angels vs Mongols shootout.
This is the twentieth anniversary of the "Laughlin River Run". I have enjoyed the run since it's beginning (about five hundred bikers then). Couldn't make it this year, glad I missed it. I have a few dozen buddies that went down Wednesday, so should have an update shortly from them...
The run has been peacefull untill two years ago when "police riots" began to happen. Over enthusiastic Las Vegas rookie police officers began citing bikers for minor misdemeanor violations, didn't go over well, but that's the breaks.
Normally, most patch holders get along during this event, actually one of the safest places to be is at one of this type of rally. This looks like a turf war starting. Damned shame. Harrahs is one of the classier casinos at Laughlin. Something went horribly wrong. H.A. generally has more class than this, and would have have taken care of business in a less volatile venue...

Excuse me....
These people are all dipsh*ts. And the farthest things from motorcycle enthusiasts. They only wear the garb, ride the bikes and act like fools in an attempt to raise their ego's from the gutter, i.e. in an attempt to "look cool".
A real motorcyclist could care less what he/she wears or rides or who is looking at them as long as he/she is enjoying the ride and experience.
I have zero tolerance for Bikers and wannabe Bikers. What a bunch if jerks! Someday they'll learn that it's not cool to be a cretan.

Bikers This is the second time in a couple of months. We (an American Legion Post) have a planned trip to ship our bikes from Texas to North Carolina in late August and then ride from there to the Wall in Washington D.C. to honor those that have passed on. Also we plan to make GWB an honorary member of the ALR in Crawford, Tx.. But this is making it sort of scary to even have a recreational event. Bad apples in every bunch.
