I hear many Moslem/Arab students who return to their countries say that the American people are good and generous, however, the American Government is bad. That is nonsense, but that is what they are told.

That is most manifestly not nonsense -- I think that most FReepers will agree that the American people are good but that the American government is at best dysfunctional and at worst corrupt.

The problem is that politically correct professors preach that mainstream American culture is bad. That is indeed (mostly) nonsense.

Right and her point is that the professors criticisms of America are absorbed by the students. Instead of looking at the fact that we have an open society where such criticism is allowed, the message they take back is that even their own professors don't respect/like their society, so why should we.
