There are many cities in California where a white guy who can't speak spanish cannot get a job. Here are a few jobs no longer available to English speaking Americans: Construction
mortgage banker, banker,real estate agent
supermarket manager
retail store manager
city employee
car salesman
financial manager
insurance agent
So they only take the jobs we don't want, eh? Not if you dont speak spanish, baby!! Thanks for bringing this up.

It appears that our President wants to pick our choose which laws our local Police should enforce. Not a very good message to send out Mr. President since your stance seems to be racial profiling for the voting booth. Enforce the laws that are on the books equally if you want to be taken seriously and respected by the people who elected you.

Authorities in Mexico and advocates for immigrants have protested to the administration that the plan would encourage racial profiling."This is a democracy, based on freedom, and people have a right to basic human dignity," said John Robertson, chief of police in Newark, Calif. "That means they're not going to be questioned just because of their appearance."
It would be extremely easy to set up a system for checking an individual's immigrant status that would avoid any charges of racial profiling. All you would have to do is use the same procedures that are used when setting up a sobriety checkpoint to check for intoxicated drivers. The only difference would be that you would be asking the driver and any other occupants of the vehicle for additional identification to prove that they are in the United States legally. Because of the fact that you would be checking the ID of every person in every vehicle that comes through the checkpoint, nobody could claim that racial profiling is involved.

Pandering to Hispanic Juntas in the nation, will alienate American voters who believe in Law and Order, sacredness of citizenship, and equality before the law, ensuring further Republican losses. You're talking to one of the Republican losses here.

I oppose checkpoints for Illegals just as I would oppose door to door searches... I want them deported without America becoming a police state.
We need to get the Illegals to Deport Themsleves.
Get rid of legal obstructions that prohibit the IRS from cooperationg with the INS. Many Illegals use false Social Security numbers to get jobs, and the IRS knows perfectly well who they are. Trace the numbers, apprehend the perpetrators, and seize their assets. Since Illegals can't legally acquire a cent in this country, all that they have is the proceeds of a criminal enterprise.
Deport a few hundred thousand Illegals after stripping them of their loot, and watch the southward stampede of millions.

Excellent. Now if we could just find a politician that would initiate this process.
To: Sabertooth
Great idea, but you can bet the government will block any such remedy.

That's OK... Let's get it out there, and take the names of those who get in the way. Make it a litmus test for seriousness over sovereignty, and commitment against Illegals.
We need to make capitulation to Illegals the kiss of political death.

Best post I've seen you make.

*Disagreement*??
What disagreement?
What the hell are you talking about, sol2?
I've been under the impression ALL the gov agencies have been in absolute agreement & working in perfect harmony on this entire illegal matter.
They aren't doing anything, a'tall.
...~together.

The IRS issues TINs (Taxpayer ID #s) to anyone who doesn't have a social security number, for the purpose of enabling them to file tax returns. The TINs were meant for babies in process of adoption, situations like that.
When the earned income credit became law a few years ago, the illegals flooded the IRS with applications for TINs, thinking that they qualified for the refundable earned income credit. Wrong. The IRS only issues (in theory, anyway) the refundable credit to people with real social security numbers.
However- the vast majority of those TINs were issued to illegals, and the IRS knows perfectly well who those people are. The information is there, if the IRS will cough it up, and the INS (or whatever it's going to be now) will do it's job and DEPORT them.

In a rare disagreement, White House and Justice Department officials are divided over whether to declare that local and state police departments have the power to track down illegal immigrants as a new tactic in the global war on terror. Regardless of who has the power, they will continue to do what they have always done. Nothing.

Well maybe, just maybe, the Feds might finally let the locals cops in on arresting illegals! Just dont let Ashcroft call these guys:

1 Adam 12; 1 Adam 12: A bank robbery has just occured at the 1st. Porno bank at Hollywood and Vine. Suspects described as 2 white males in the thirties dressed in blue jeans and tee shirts. Handle code 3.
1 Adam 12 copy. We will immediately begin questioning green people so that we won't be accused of racial profiling. KMA.
