and alienate Hispanic voters who Republicans are courting for the midterm elections in November.
Pander express. Bottom line. Bunch of sellouts.

This is going to be a tight battle I think. I have faith that it will go the way that we want but no one can ever relax their efforts.

Why are we surprised? Since it seems to be Bush's plan to jam Mexico down our throats whether we want them or not. It's no great shock to me that the White House objects!
Mr. Bush has got to lose this love affair with Vicente Fox and Mexico. California is looking more and more like Mexico North.
If Bush loves Mexico so much, why doesn't he move there instead of having Mexico move here?

The government should give illegals 6 months to sell everything, they don't want to take with them, and to return to their home countries. In the meantime we make a concerted effort to enforce the laws, already on the books, against employing illegals. Then, in 6 months, law enforcement goes door-to-door to mop up. Any illegal apprehended, at that time, forfeits all.
We should start walling off the borders and patrolling them militarily so that, once the illegals are out, they stay out.

Anyone who thinks hispanic voters are going to vote Republican is too stupid to live.
