The support for Palestine being picked up and chanted like a favorite mantra by the Arab world is touching, but it is also a complete farce.
Having traveled the world extensively, and having many contacts more well-traveled than myself, I can attest to the fact that Palestinians are treated like disease-ridden sub-creatures by every Arab culture in the Middle East.
They are kicked to the curb by Saudi's in Saudi Arabia. They are denied many social privileges afforded even to the poorest Jordanians in Jordan. There is no Arab culture which embraces or treats with respect the Palestinians living in their country.
So then why is all the Arab world now jumping on the bandwagon of the "Palestinian People?" People upon whom they have spat for decades?
It is a sham, and a straw man. By pretending to care at all about the Palestinian plight, they gain another lever for teaching their children to hate America and our democratic ally, Israel.
The Arab culture is one of brutal dictators, cruel military regimes, and violence. It is a culture not of peace, but of subjugation. The masses of people in the Arab nations are dirt-poor and living in filth, while their Sheikhs and Mullahs drive gold-plated Rolls Royces and live in palaces which make our White House look like a shack.
The leaders of the Arab nations foment and encourage hatred of America and Israel in order to keep their poor from focusing on the real cause of their poverty and miserable living conditions.
It is time someone stood up to these thugs and exposed their deceit. Their "passion" for Palestine is anything but. And the fruits of their harvest should be equally bitter.
They are committed to seing us destroyed with every breath that they draw. A pretty good argument for cutting off their air. GO W!!!
But we will never give up our freedoms (provided a democrat isn't in power when push comes to shove).
Necessity is the mother of invention and we will, when threatened, find other sources (including ANWR) and alternative methods of energy.
