I remember when the first stun weapon came on the market: The NOVA XR5000. I once used one to break up a bar fight when I first got off active duty in 1984 and it sent the drunken, coked up, angel dusted combatants straight to the floor, whereupon my fellow bouncers promptly stomped them bloody and all the way unconscious! So maybe the later versions are weaklings, but I remember when.....
I have also seen some of our species actually hold a live bare electrical wire while plugged into a standard wall socket! Some folks are just resistent to electricity. Never saw anybody do the same thing (stand there and grin) when hit in the chest with a 230gr 45 slug.
