Actually, I think the "collaborators" are the once-called Arab "moderates" whom the "world" and external powers hoped would be coerced along with the Israelis into a "peace agreement." In every terrorist campaign, the first target is not the enemy, but the "moderates" who might convince other natives to co-exist with the enemy. It was so in Algeria, and in Vietnam.

In every case, I'm afraid, western forces have only two choices---capitulate, or utterly eradicate their enemies. There is no middle ground.
