Albeit I agree we're surrounded with RINO's I think if I wanted to present to an anti-gun lobby that I really tried to defeat the pro-constitutional RKBA effort. I would also use "their" champions previously loosing efforts and methods to ensure the 2nd amendment survived......and I still kissed @ss for votes from the gun grabbers as only a good little polidiot can.

Just a different way to approach this maybe ? Yes/No ? Comment s ??

From a tactical political standpoint it does make sense but the risk is in alienating the RKBA base of support. It is a delicate dance and arguing that the danger to the public is proven could well be a losing tactic as some evidence of taht argument may wind up having to be presented. A whole lot depends on how good teh lawyers for the RKBA really are and the judges hearing the case.

My take:

Ashcroft is a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Rush (Limbaugh) once observed that "liberals talk like they're conservative to get elected." He claims this is exactly what Clinton did. (I agree, to a certain extent.) Although Rush would never admit it, that is the method used by Bush during the campaign.

The more I watch this administration, the more I realize that many of the third party "kooks" are right - there is NO difference between Dems and Pubbies. Sure, they may bicker about the budget and other issues. They might have given Ashcroft a hard time during confirmation hearings, but I believe it was all a show. When it's all boiled down, both of these political crime syndicates share the same goal - unlimited government. They just have slightly different paths to the same objective.

My humble 2 cents/rant...
