I'm sure the marxist totalitarians and anarchists would agree with your assessment.
But I believe the average law abiding South African - white or black - would vehemently disagree.
You haven't been keeping up with the news coming out of Africa, have you?
The most ignorant statement I've read on this forum in a loooong time. And don't bother with the racism tag, I don't care if you think I'm a racist, I don't bother with the opinions of fools.
You are confusing South Africa and Africa. S. Africa (which is what I was referring to) is a country; Africa is a contintent which contains S. Africa, Zimbabwe and many other countries. Back to grade school geography for you!
No, I don't have such a confusion. The news from South Africa is not particularly rosie, either. Granted, the violence level in S.A. is not as bad as in some other African Nations; however, law and order, justice, and quality of life has erroded mightily there. As I said, YOU haven't been keeping up with the news.
I think his/her point was "the other God." You know, the horned one. According to their Bible, a great leader will arise and reign supreme on their behalf for 7 years. The story ends there. They end up with their virgins and live happily ever after.
According to our Bible, the antiChrist reigns and brings Christians great horrors for 7 years, but is destroyed. We then go into the 1000 years of peace on earth. Our God continues after theirs. Theirs is "missing."
I guess--if you consider being dragged from your car and murdered when stopping at a red light, better.
There are none so blind as those who will not see ...
"...hearing they hear not ... seeing they see not".
We are living in escalating, accelerating times and the speed of our fall from power will indeed happen in the twinkling of an eye. Think not. Look and remember what happened to Russia in 1990. I remember it being an almost overnight happening. Who will come to our aid? We are the country that comes to the aid of others and also we provide money for other countries to come to the aid of others with us. If and when we can't do this who will our friends be?
This is a real dangerous and deadly threat. We seem to think that our showing others how to be free and how to plan, and organize a system that works is enough. There are places around the world and Rhodesia is an excellent case in point where as soon as the europeans or westerners leave it reverts to a worse situation than ever. It has returned to a savage lawless land ruled by tyrants exploiting their own starving masses.
