A new group called the Center for Consumer Freedom has taken up the cause. The self-described coalition of more than 30,000 restaurant and tavern owners is standing tall in defense of fattening food. Its motto: "Protecting Personal Responsibility and Protecting Consumer Choice."

Wonder if I could get them to take on smokers' rights?
They've got the right motto for it. "Protecting Personal Responsibility and Protecting Consumer Choice."

Joe, if they're a coalition of restaurants, they sure should take up our cause. The National Restaurant Association fights for us, even though they have made no public statement about it. Gotta be a reason and it's not because "smoking bans are goooood for business.
