President Bush must issue a warning to Saudi Arabia about funding terrorism. He must call upon the rulers to issue a decree banning all donations to terrorists.

How can we bomb Iraq and just fly over S.A.? .....

In reality, we are defending against a Muslim religious war !! Just wait until the next major terror attack in the U.S.

The Jews are desperate to prevent Saudi ascendency in the region. Like 5 year olds who resent a new baby brother, the Isreali propaganda is working overtime to smear the Saudi's.

Bush is certainly in a sticky situation. I wouldn't know what to do. What would you do? Tell the Saudis to stick it?

Well, King Fahd was (more) pro-America than his half-brother, Crown Prince Abdullah. Fahd had a stroke a few yrs back and ever since, Abdullah has been the one in power.

Start with food and clothing for at least 14 out of the 19 and the numbers just go higher and higher from there.

As far as I can tell, the money comes from "benefits" for the "Palestinian brothers" which are allegedly held by private groups. Not just telethons, but theater production's like the banner ad for a company called "Snap" which came up the other day on Arabia.com.

Unfortunately, it was a Java-scripted random banner ad. I'm still kicking myself for not having written the address of the ad down. Don't even remember - for sure - the folder it was in on the server. I can't FTP there, either.

Tell the Saudis to stick it?

We only get 7% of our oil from them so intially I would say them telling them to stick it would be the right thing to do. A closer looks reminds us that SA has a LOT of influence on other nations that we get oil from and if they were to start a boycott that other arab nations followed we could be in for a rough situation. I am not sure that GWB is going to press his luck on that one.

The Jews are desperate to prevent Saudi ascendency in the region.

How about "The Israelis? If, that is, you are the least bit concerned about accuracy.

And what do you think that the Saudis already have? They've got most of the region's oil, and the resulting oil revenue, which gives them enormous influence and power. The only ones concerned about Saudi "ascendency" are Saddam Hussein (who has delusions of running the whole Mideast himself) and the Egyptians (who view themselves as the leader of the Arab World).

Like 5 year olds who resent a new baby brother, the Isreali propaganda is working overtime to smear the Saudi's.

It would be nice if you knew something about spelling (it is "Israelis") and grammar (it should be "Saudis" - plural, not possessive). But that's OK, because it merely demonstrates your general level of knowledge.

FYI, the Israelis are trying to reduce Saudi influence with the US, as any country would try to reduce the influence that one of its enemies has with one of its friends. And for the record, they are not "smearing" the Saudis, only exposing the Saudi financing behind lots of the terrorism that Israel has had to suffer over the last 18 months. Exposing something is a factual matter, quite different in nature from smearing someone, which implies the falsification or fabrication of facts.

Thus you are not only operating on a fifth-grade level, but you are wrong. By the way, are you related to the infamous and ignorant A+Bert?

7% of our oil is huge. If that were to be cut off, fuel prices would skyrocket and have a crippling effect on the economy. Also keep in mind that the Saudis have a whole lotta $$ in our markets, probably enough to have a substantial effect if they pulled out.

At the same time, we can't continue to appease them. They fund anti-American mosques and schools in the US, they fund suicide bombers, and they export their Wahhabist ideology all over the world.

Bush is in a tricky situation. And it's not helped by Abdullah, who is not nearly as pro-US as was his brother.

Israel wants the United States to be aware of the true face of Saudi Arabia and its support of terror, at a time when the Saudis are pushing for increased American pressure on Israel. In addition, Israel is hoping that the exposure of the documents will force the Saudis to stop, or at least make it more difficult for them to continue their funding practices.

Bump.
