bump for future reference. Great article. It never ceases to amaze me how gratifying it is to read the truth.

. It takes some considerable skill to wind up, as Europe has, with every indicator going haywire: total gun control plus rapidly increasing gun violence plus stratospheric property crime. BUMP!

Just a shockingly intelligent article. I thought In the land of the bland, the one-eyed man is king was a typo, until I 'got' the earlier reference to Caliban.
"But look on the bright side: Europe may be mean-spirited and violent, but at least its not American."
Any takers?
BTW. I'm off to bed (:-)

"...venomous sarcasm..." bump.
It shares the esthetic of a bullfight, somehow. Steyn, the graceful matador, allowing the drooling beast to stumble into his bright steel!

Good read! I'll have to make all my European neighbors read that one ;-)

I read this online earlier and I was just rolling. It's very sad, but very funny as well. The Europeans have become the epitome of LOSERS!

Its gradually beginning to dawn on US Europhiles that the Continent has done everything the American Left has wanted for years and it doesnt seem to be working out. The only point where I disagree - U.S. Europhiles don't get it yet and never will.
