I think we really turned a corner with the Taliban and us being the first since Alexander the Great to conquer the hostlie natives in that land, use our airpower plus multinational special forces and in country opposition. Couple that with some regional armies in the invasion i.e. Turks, Georgians for NATO or EU benefits and we become unstoppable.
We will pay 90% of the cost for this anyway, use our air power and let this multinational force roll over Saddams dregs.

Don't let your ignorance upstage your arrogance. The USSR actually did quite well in "conquering the natives" as well, but that was the easy part. It was maintaining the peace that killed them.
