The abuse occurred from 1971 to about 1974, Currais said. His suit, seeking unspecified damages, was filed in state court in Fort Lauderdale. "I didn't want to be here, I don't want to be here. I am here to stop this from happening to other kids

....and it only took 25 years to find a lawyer and file suit.

And the plaintiff in the only other case is dead.

ALL of these smell fishy.

Yep. All. Now if some of the other participants in these "orgies" were partners in this lawsuit, they would add credibility to it.

Don't be shocked if you find some gold-diggers who don't have a ticket trying to jump on this gravy train.

Probably no kind of case is more frequently subject to false allegations than sex crimes, yet they are often relatively easy to prove because of special legal rules designed to assure as many convictions as possible. Not saying they don't happen, or are terrible when they do, just that I don't think its ever safe to assume a particular allegation is true, particularly very stale ones in civil cases where a plaintiff has a big payoff to gain.

A former altar boy sued the Vatican, the Miami Archdiocese and two Roman Catholic priests Monday, accusing the priests of necromancy. The suit was filed posthumously by the man 30 years later

A Church spokesman was quoted as saying "Something smells here".
