Glad that this was rejected. However, since I am an a**hole and always have reason to reject the smarmy words of most politicians, let me say that this administration is not much different than the ones that preceded it. The US should withdraw from the UN. I don't understand why the US is even a member and I don't know why the US would legitimize this communist organization by saying things like:

We believe the ICC undermines the role of the United Nations Security Council in maintaining international peace and security.

The UN has never maintained international peace and security and never will. Nor has the US maintained peace and security and those who think that the primary role of any "superpower" or global government is to maintain peace and security should have their head examined.

I truly believe that our nation's peace rests on the peace of the rest of the world. Not that we should involve ourselves in every small skirmish but we must concern ourselves with matters around the world in this day and age.

Is the UN the best way to do that, I don't think so. But we de need some sort of tribunal type commission in order to have healthy relationships with all the other powerful nations. I guess, if UN would just do what it was originally intended to do, it would be for the best.
