It wouldn't be surprising if the proponents of bankruptcy reform overstated the benefits of the bill. In fact, it would be surprising if they hadn't.

There are bad apple businesses and bad apple consumers. That's always been the case.

What I object to is the school of thought that holds that doing anything to promote business is somehow bad for the individual.

It is only because we have successful businesses that this country is not a third world dump. It's only because we have the standard of living provided by the engine of economic growth that we are a superpower.

This article makes the Democrats seem like traitors for helping businesses. Sheesh, it actually might be their only redeeming quality.

The question is - are they really "helping businesses" and are they helping the average people. What is the real motive of Enron Democrats?

The politics is continuously changing, the present shift of power toward creditors vs little debtors might go too far, resulting either in a reaction harmful toward free enterprise or in return to the Dickensian world. Do you like either?
