You missed the whole point of the article... It is called decency. Why don't you get some?

I believe our founding fathers told us if we didn't keep our decency we wouldn't keep our republic.

Some of the commandments, but certainly not the first two.

The part about "visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation" seems especially intolerant of diverse religious opinion to the extent of holding great-great grandchildren responsible for the religious choices of their great-great grandparents.

It doesn't seem to be either "great literature" or uplifting moral guidance. It just seems mean, nasty, petty.

It is certainly not a document a religiously neutral government should be endorsing.
