Yes... I'm really sorry President Bush remains committed to a Mideast policy that's at a dead-end. The longer he remains addicted to the idea Arafat will bring about peace, the further off the day real peace in the MIddle East remains. Our President needs to wake up and face reality.

Maybe the President knows something you don't.

I believe he is facing reality (unlike some of my fellow Freepers here). The reality is that anything the USA does to encourage Sharon publically will certainly close down any measured and non-nuclear action we have planed vis a vis Saddam et al in the region. In short, he faces the real possiblity of being drawn into WWIII over the Palestinian issue before America is entirely ready for such a conflict. Politically he would be handing the democrats a great big campaign issue (ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR...WE DON'T WANT YOUR ATOMIC WAR!).
Pray for the President. He's trying to get us past this distraction(of long standing) and on to the sources of the Mid-east instability....Iraq, Iran, and Syria...without having to fight everywhere at once.
