[history]
A 12-year-old Illinois girl whose design was selected in a contest for her school yearbook cover was forced to erase the words "God Bless America" from the design and replace them with "Proud to be America" because the religious reference was considered inappropriate, reports the Quad-City Times.

When did schools start hiring attorneys? But...but...they claim to be educating kids.....LOL!

Leave it to the NEA to toss God out the window in one classroom while slipping a condom over a cucumber in another...
Not only is the Public School System responsible for hypnotising generation after generation of our America's youth into moronic zombies, but the NEA has proven itself to be a mere indoctrination organ of Gaydom, anti-Americanism, and state sponsored atheism and New Age hocus-pocus.

It is dereliction of duty to turn your kids over to people who despise everything you believe in.
This is the most important war we are fighting right now; nothing else matters if we lose this one.
A free country relies on the capability of its people to engage in rational thought, and it requires a critical mass of trained, sensitive consciences. It requires a preponderance of citizens who are capable of handling issues of weight, and capable of moral judgement.
This means that if we do not regain control of the public schools, or agressively create a parallel system of private education, we could lose it all.

Allowing "God Bless America" on the cover of a public school yearbook would be "tantamount to the state sponsorship of religion, which is forbidden," according to the school's attorney.I hope this moron refuses to be paid in any money that says "In God We Trust" on it.
To: vannrox
This girl simply isn't paying attention to the fact that the word "God" is strictly prohibited in public conversation in school.
Yeah, that's the meaning of separation of church and state. That's what Madison and Jefferson must have had in mind.
Not paying attention to this prohibition? Must have ADD. Give her some Ritalin... or Adderal,,, or Dexedrine.. or Cylert... or Zyprexa... whatever. Mandate her to a school approved therapist if she again says the word "God."

That is free speech being oppressed. Would you support her free speech she had written "God, get off your duff and Bless America"?

The ACLU theophobes strike back. Saying GOD is verboten in America lest it lead to the establishment of a fundamentalist theocracy. Liberal theophobia knows no bounds.
To: goldstategop
I suppose to the morons who run Rock Island-Milan, its also a state sponsorship of religion to sing "God Bless America." Who knew that you needed to erase God completely from American culture to make the schools safe from the threat of an ACLU lawsuit. Quite frankly its gotten way out of hand. Enough already.

I respect your comment. I agree with you one hundred percent. The administrators (of higher levels than principals) claim to know everything, why can't they see that they can't live without God?

I highly respect your answers.
