I don't think it pays to minimize the degree to which socialist policies and practices erode common sense and penalize and discourage the performers on the right hand side of the bell curve. There's a "point of no return" that Russia and Germany learned about in 1912 and 1938 respectively. Anyone who says "It can't happen here" hasn't read enough history.

I'm not debating that, but in a purely pragmatic way you'll notice that Germany ultimately "fixed" all the nonsense that had occurred before 1938. The more idiotic the nonsense, the more severe the backlash will be. But nature always has a way of correcting humanity's stupidity, doesn't it?
