Ergo, you are not as hopelessly geeky as Mike and I are. :o) TANSTAAFL has been around for 30 - 40 years. Heinlein is one of the very best Science Fiction authors. I also like Niven and Azimov, but Heinlein's writing has a gritty reality to it that is compelling.

Nope, that acronym has been around for a while. The "science fiction" reference that Mr King cites is the use of the acronym by the late Robert Heinlein in his novel "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress", which dates back to at least the early 70's (when I first read it.)
