I can't believe that no one has picked up on how anti american this line is. While the
majority of Americans support israel and europeans talk of Jewish scum this guy is talking
about our boys' lack of bravery.

Just my opinion...
But I think this contrast is mentioned partly because it is factual...
and the Los Angeles Jewish community just can't yet say the actions in Bosnia
were at the behest of President William Jefferson Clinton.
They aren't dissing the US Military...just noting that their punitive mission went the
extra mile to avoid civilian casualties.

The Jewish community is having a hard time parting with the idea that the Democratic Party
is their best friend.
But a fair number of them are slowing, inexorably reaching this conclusion.
Otherwise, you'd not have heard about a fair number of Jews in the LA area
cancelling their subscriptions to The Los Angeles Times for perceived pro-Palestinian/anti-Israeli
bias.

True, however, why does he find it necessary to mention Afghanistan? Maybe he's trying to make a little stab at Bush because of his perceived lack of support for israel as of late. I don't know, it just bothered me. My in laws are staunch Jewish liberals from New York. To them it doesn't matter how many conservatives are on their side about this they'd just as soon vote for Yasser Arafat than a Republican I'm sorry to say. Hope you're right that others are changing their minds.
