Thanks for the ping.

Third Parties are the only way to impact the views of the converging direction of the establishment parties. Winning isn't getting elected, it is moving the pile on issues.

Dole wouldn't even read the grass roots platform, so the GOP nominated Bush not McCain. If Bush can't read any better than Dole, then he will have a problem. BTW since Bush ran as a conservative, there must be a dozen conservative things he has accomplished. Anyone care to mention the main 3 or 4?

The way I look at it, a constitutionalist Republican has about as much chance of getting elected as a constitutionalist third party candidate so it's six of one, half-dozen of the other. The real battle is in the fight over issues. If third parties can further awareness of the Constitution among the people then they will have been successful in my opinion.

Bush said goodbye to Kyoto, the World Court and yes to the Second Amendment.

Please name three or four pieces of legislation that Pat Buchanan has ever claimed responsibility for passage. [If Sarah Brady can help pass liberal legislation, Pat should be able to help conservatives.]

And while you are at it. Name three or four conservative, Constitution-believing candidates Pat Buchanan has helped push over the top to victory. [Are you going to have to admit that Jesse Jackson is more effective than Pat Buchanan?]

Hmmmm.. lessee....

1-He's opened up the federal floodgates on education spending.

2-He signed legislation limiting our first amendment rights in the days leading up to elections, in spite of his campaign statement (read my lips)

3-He's running around the world threating war without a declaration by Congress

4-He's used 9/11 to institute measures designed to chill political dissent....

< /sarcasm>

"Winning isn't getting elected, it is moving the pile on issues."

Well put, and a message Dubyuh needs to hear...some of the collectivist krap he has supported/signed over the last few months is making me wonder why I worked so hard to get him elected!!
