Again, why do we continue to hand our children over to people who despise us?
There is no higher priority than, 1. re-taking control of the public schools, or 2. establishing a parallel, private, school system. This probably means vouchers, if access is to be widespread.
The battle to keep these people from indoctrinating your kids is the battle that must be waged and must not be lost, or really, nothing else matters.

Discrimination is not a bad thing. It keeps us safe and should be used often as a tool for living life safely. Discrimination is not a bad word and is the cornerstone of Freedom. The freedom to discriminate. Freedom of association. Same thing.

If the liberals can discriminate then the conservatives can too.

The national BSA should prohibit any troop from meeting in public (government) schools. All Troops should affiliate themselves with churches. This would end the political correct Nazis from corrupting the Boy Scouts. Under the recently passed education bill, Boy Scouts must be allowed to meet in schools after hours or federal school funding will be pulled.

homosexuality is the result of a mental disorder I agree, but if you allow this logic then they are never responsible for their actions because it is a disorder that they can't help. This is where I tend to disagree, they can decide not to be a homosexual.

Does "Scouting for All" do anything other than try to shut down the Boy Scouts? Are any parents crazy enough to let their son go camping with a known homo? Scouting for All won't start their owning homosexual scouting organization, because they know that all activity badges would be for the same activity.

Discrimination is not a bad thing. It keeps us safe and should be used often as a tool for living life safely. Discrimination is not a bad word and is the cornerstone of Freedom. The freedom to discriminate. Freedom of association. Same thing. Yeah. Parents these days have completely lost their ability to discern. Cheating on tests. Sure. Having their seventh grade daughters dress up like harlots for school. Sure. Sending their sons out to camp in the woods with homosexual men. Sure. I am glad for Boy Scout 'discrimination. It's the one organization for our teenage boys whose values are close to our own. In our area, there are no others.

Our Charter Organization is a church. It used to be a local school until the school district started getting flak from special interest groups. This was before the policy on homosexuals became an issue. We have our parent meetings and many of our activities at the church. However, because the church facilities are used by organizations besides ours, we have to use a school to hold our pack meetings. We do a lot of volunteer work for the school and that's how they justify to others why they allow us to use their facilities. But I'm not sure how much longer our association with the school will last. We're supposed to do our spring recruiting drive in a couple of weeks and we were just told the school district won't allow "walk throughs" by scout leaders anymore. We're only allowed to pass out flyers now.

This is where I tend to disagree, they can decide not to be a homosexual. You make a lot of sense here! Since it is a chosen behavior you can choose not to do it or to quit doing it. I tend to view the behavior as a disorder of some kind because it is so disgusting and devastating to the self. So homosexuality is just a lifestyle choice not a disorder in your opinion? I understand your argument. If it were a disorder, how could Homosexuals seduce and recruit new members unless the victims were prone to the disorder?

This is where I tend to disagree, they can decide not to be a homosexual. I think what kapn kuek means by homosexuality is the result of a mental disorder can be found in the definition of Narcissistic Personality Disorder
Essentially, someone with a "disorder" is what we used to call jerk. "Disorder" sounds nicer and keeps the liberals from calling us "insensitive." :)
Narcissistic Personality Disorder
People with narcissistic personality exhibit a persistent pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration and a lack of empathy. They have an exaggerated sense of self-importance, are absorbed by fantasies of unlimited success, and seek constant attention.
The narcissistic personality is oversensitive to failure and often complains of multiple somatic symptoms. Prone to extreme mood swings between self-admiration and insecurity, these people tend to exploit interpersonal relationships.
Onset is early adulthood.
Some of the typical signs are:
grandiose sense of self-importance.
exaggerates achievements and talents
preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty or ideal love
believes that he is 'special' and 'unique' and can only be understood by, or should associate with other special or high-status people
requires excessive admiration
sense of entitlement. (unreasonable expectation of special treatment by others)
interpersonally exploitative.. uses others to his advantage lacks empathy
envious of others
arrogant behavior and attitude

It's too bad the scouts have been lowering their standards through the years. They have watered down THE SCOUT HANDBOOK, lessened the requirements and have been more PC.
They should not give in and should keep up their standards.

When I wore my scout uniform to jr. high, I was called a "fag". Now as an adult leader, I wear the uniform and I am a racist, bigotted, homophobe. I was actually abused as a scout by a scoutBump!
