That empty look in their eyes when they realize their Big Dream is nothing but a Big Lie for the sake of empowering the State. Now everything they've done to the freedoms and liberties of the people comes due upon their conscience. They only have themselves to blame for their failures and decades of fascist activity against their fellow Americans. That's a tough burden for an idealist to bear. Wasted lives.
