I really don't think Carter is all that nice. The more I see him, the the more I'm convinced. I think his "niceness" has reached the proportions of an urban legend.

He tried to publicly de-pants the president by claiming that Cuba had no capacity to create biological weapons. Since this is not an administration sponsored event, he may be working for the DNC to try to discredit the administration. CNN and NPR seem to be turning up the heat also.
