From the article: "During an address to about 500 women, ...". I think if you consider other scriptures, that the NT encourages a woman (Anne) to teach other women.

The Bible does encourage women to teach other women. That is proper.

It instructs older woment to teach younger women to love their husbands.
I honestly have never heard of or seen this practised, not in my lifetime.

You make an absolute statement and proceed to pronounce that anyone who doesn't follow your view is not following God's Word.

If you show me where I said this, I will address the other issues in your comments. I never pronounced that. I will say this, anyone who does not obey the Word of God, is not obeying the Word of God.

Remember, it must be so, it's in the Bible

What do you know about the Holy Spirit?

Do you defend, embrace, or champion moral sicknesses and sexual deviances condemned by the living Holy Spirit? Hint: this includes the gay lifestyle.

If you admit that you do or say that you do not know, how can we trust you to judge scripture correctly?

The Bible clearly teaches women are not to preach. Neither are positions in the church described in the Bible to be filled by women. But what should we expect, her father was an apostate, too.

When you said "we" instead of the more appropriate "I" you clearly were making a point of saying that "all" of us should think your way. I do not agree that they are apostates, in fact I think they have, and continue, to spread the Good News as fellow Christians. On what grounds do you call them names or judge their ministry?

When Winger said Billy Graham cracker has filled our churches with unregenerate souls who only think they are Christians because they filled out some card at some meeting, I believe he was showing us that he, in fact, is God. After all, who knows what's in peoples' minds and hearts but the Lord Himself? Therefore, in answer to your question, the grounds upon which he judges is his own holiness. There, wasn't that simple?

I don't belong to a denominational church, never have, never will.

OK, - does your non denominational Church allow women to speak in Church?

The church I attend adheres to the Biblical teaching of women.

again, are they allowed to speak in Church?

We speak English in our church. No, my church does not speak in tongues.

You are in as much violation of scripture as those that claim women preachers to be heretical.

Now, what do all your questions have to do with anything on this thread

Everything I believe. - You made the assertion it is unbiblical, yet you still consider yourself pious despite the fact your Church does not speak in tongues and in all liklyhood allows thier wives to speak in Church.. This, drawn from the same chapter you originally quoted.

1 Corinthians 14 Gifts of Prophecy and Tongues 1Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy. 2For anyone who speaks in a tongue[1] does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit.[2] 3But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort. 4He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. 5I would like every one of you to speak in tongues,[3] but I would rather have you prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues,[4] unless he interprets, so that the church may be edified. 6Now, brothers, if I come to you and speak in tongues, what good will I be to you, unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or word of instruction? 7Even in the case of lifeless things that make sounds, such as the flute or harp, how will anyone know what tune is being played unless there is a distinction in the notes? 8Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle? 9So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air. 10Undoubtedly there are all sorts of languages in the world, yet none of them is without meaning. 11If then I do not grasp the meaning of what someone is saying, I am a foreigner to the speaker, and he is a foreigner to me. 12So it is with you. Since you are eager to have spiritual gifts, try to excel in gifts that build up the church. 13For this reason anyone who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret what he says. 14For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. 15So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind. 16If you are praising God with your spirit, how can one who finds himself among those who do not understand[5] say "Amen" to your thanksgiving, since he does not know what you are saying? 17You may be giving thanks well enough, but the other man is not edified. 18I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you. 19But in the church I would rather speak five intelligible words to instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue. 20Brothers, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults. 21In the Law it is written: "Through men of strange tongues and through the lips of foreigners I will speak to this people, but even then they will not listen to me,"[6] says the Lord. 22Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers but for unbelievers; prophecy, however, is for believers, not for unbelievers. 23So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and some who do not understand[7] or some unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your mind? 24But if an unbeliever or someone who does not understand[8] comes in while everybody is prophesying, he will be convinced by all that he is a sinner and will be judged by all, 25and the secrets of his heart will be laid bare. So he will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, "God is really among you!" Orderly Worship 26What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church. 27If anyone speaks in a tongue, two--or at the most three--should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. 28If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and God. 29Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said. 30And if a revelation comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop. 31For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged. 32The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets. 33For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. 34As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church. 36Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached? 37If anybody thinks he is a prophet or spiritually gifted, let him acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord's command. 38If he ignores this, he himself will be ignored.[9] 39Therefore, my brothers, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues. 40But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.

Point being - you have to understand the social context in which scripture was written in order to properly exegete it.

and perhaps most notably

Acts 2 17" 'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. 18Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. 19I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke.

We should have half the grace of Reverend Graham and his faithful children

What you said reminds me of a point I made in one of my lessons that said that our churches continue to be filled with those who are "holier than thou" who turn away the very people who need help. Those churches need to go out and buy one of those kiddie wading pools, place it at the entrance of the church, and make all of these "saints" walk through it. Anyone with wet ankles need not continue. The echos in that church will be pretty loud!

Try learning a little "Debating 101" which teaches the difference between stating facts versus opinions and the problems of using inclusive "we's" to try and win favor with your arguments....

Again I say, "The church I attend adheres to the Biblical teaching of women." I'll make it plain, the answer is "No".

"Be ye not unequally yoked with unbelievers" is not just about marriage. Mr. Graham yoked himself with apostates almost all of his career.

"What fellowship hath light with darkness?" Mr. Graham again found time to mingle with reprobates and denominational eccumenical types which today have been proven to be left-wing, commie lovers. He joined hands with United Methodists, Presbyterian, USA, and Roman Catholics. He violated the doctrine of separation from this world system.

"The only good news to come out of this is everybody is seeing the truth here of what is really happening -- when you allow homosexuality to prosper in any organization, you’re going to have trouble,"

Unfortunately, homosexuality is prospering in the Catholic Church, and the church cannot see the truth of what is really happening.

Somehow or other, Jesus seemed able to communicate both rejection of sin AND open-hearted love for those guilty of it (everyone). As long as sin is discussed in terms of OTHER people's sin—i.e. the sins you aren't guilty of, or are blinded to—then self-deception occurs.

Jesus pointed to those who died when the Tower of Siloam fell on them. "Were they more guilty?" He asked those present. "No. But unless YOU repent, you will all perish." He brings the discussion back to OUR sin, not the sins of another.

This does not mean we should never confront another out of love for them over some sin they are trapped in. But somewhere the Scripture says "you who are spiritual" (mature) should do the confronting, while checking for self-deception. Many immature souls go barging ahead nonetheless!

- Hes yoked himself with the "apostates" as he sees that as a target of ministry.

Im curious to know if you consider all "left wingers" apostate?

Perhaps we can frame this discussion if I had a better understanding of where you are coming from theologically.

Have we dismissed the original discussion?

The Bible states women are to remain silent. Do women evangelists talk with sign language

please read the whole passage (including the location), and its context. Preaching the gospel is ALWAYS OK.

And yet here you are, discussing religion with people who are not of your narrow little sect. Why there could some Roman Catholics on this thread, and you wouldn't even know it!

Perhaps you should leave before God gets mad at you.
