What was Bush supposed to tell us? That among the many things mentioned during an intelligence briefing was that bin Laden's minions might hijack a plane - which Moslem extremists had been doing for years, anyway - but he had no idea or way of knowing where or when? What were we supposed to do with that bit of info, go into a panic and stop flying altogether?

Bush should tell us a few things, namely:

Why was he and many of the other White House Staff already on Cipro on the night of September 11th, weeks before the first case of Anthrax was reported?

What was Bush's reponse to the threat? Was FBI, FAA instructed to do anything? Nothing?

If the threat was great enough to brief the President, and specific enough for WIllie Brown to be warned eight hours before not to fly on Sept 11th, why weren't any measures taken? What were they?

WHy do we have to wait 8 months for the administration to tell us this info? Are they just spinning it out now, because they knew Congress would have found out?

And why does this administration REFUSE to allow Pilots to have guns, even though Senator Smith (NH) fought to get the provision passed?

Just look at how seriously the public takes the security color codes issued now. Concerning the hijack warnings, the public would have said pre-9/11, well, duh.
