Ironically, I am thinking of moving back there and commuting. Weirton is just 45 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. Property is cheap there, and it is a lovely area (except for all the lawyers).

I actually think Rockefeller is much worse than Byrd. He is the epitome of "the empty suit".

I would estimate that 90% of the banned accounts here have been "owned" by a much smaller number of actual people, perhaps as small as 0.1% of those individuals who have ever signed up on Free Republic. Troublemakers love to make multiple accounts, sleeper accounts, and keep coming back again and again.

Why not just ban those IP addresses? Or are these AOL-using morons?

Ain't that the truth. At least you constantly hear about Byrd and what he's up to. Rockefeller isn't even on the radar screen. He pops up on TV maybe once every six months; other than that you forget he even exists.

You will not get the request from me now since I see from the other answers it was not you. I have a pretty good idea now who it is but from the Admin's answer, we have seen the last of No-Kin. If you wish an apology from me for the accusation this is it. I apologize for accusing you of being No-kin, but as you can now see I was right about the "fishy", misrepresentation, and I am probably correct about the actual position of the fraud. It is sufficient to note that the person has been warned.

No-Kin's fakery was obvious to me (and a few others) but your efforts here combined with my experience of our being at different wavelengths lead me to believe that it wasn't obvious to you. In which case I was rather harsh and I apologize for that.

No problem. My critical faculties seem to have failed me in detecting the No-Kin impersonation, although I did take him for an April Fool's joke on his first day (April 2 of last year). This was posted elsewhere already, but what the heck:
