When the Yonkers chemical poisoning was first being reported (a few days ago), not only was it removed from "Breaking" several times, but also several threads were deleted (one after another, not simultaneous posts).

This was a significant occurrence. Several people tried posting. Each linked to an online news report via a Yonkers area TV station. It was a real event. At least 2 consecutive posts were removed before a posting "stayed" and it was continually removed from "breaking."

Events such as this, it would certainly seem, deserve "alertive" status.

Sometimes postings are spontaneous, inappropriate, and without validation. But sometimes, moderators seem too quick on the delete key. And at all times moderating forums is like herding cats. It's those calico ones--they are the trouble makers. They should all be banned. And those siamese, especially the ones with each eye of a different color--they are weird.

I am not ripping the moderators. I am the nicest guy you will find. If I was wearing a tie that you liked, I would take it off and give it to you

I wasn't suggesting that you were ripping us. Dallas has started that path going. The thread will inevitably go there.

If you click settings at the bottom of this page, you can select as few as 20 posts to load per page... only the posts currently displayed will slow you down, all the back history doesn't load then...

That's a change that has been suggested before and is on John's to-do list.

If that were true, then no one on the forum would have seen the term bushbot, nor could anyone on the forum find the term bushbot if they wanted (since the comments would be gone).

However, if every single post a person makes is nothing but bushbot bushbot bushbot, they are likely to be removed, just as anyone who posts nothing but insults is removed.

I want that change too. I am on some ping lists I just can't get off of, and as a moderator we get tons of complaints from people who can't get off user's ping lists.

I can think of several Bush appologists who are downright vicious in their attacks of anybody "not with the program", yet not once have I seen one of these guys admonished by the moderators. Hmmmm....
