And I have just reviewed the actions of the past 24 hours. It does not appear that any threads of yours have been pulled.
If a post of yours is pulled and you can't figure out why, here are the steps to take:
1) Check to see if your post is a duplicate of one that was posted within the last few hours.
2) Check to see if your post is a full posting of something the Washington Post/LA Times owns.
3) If it was neither and you still cannot figure out why, write to the Admin Moderator account. Be patient- it may take several hours for us to get back to you.
4) If you do not get an answer or the answer is unsatisfactory, then contact Jim Robinson.
More times than not when a thread is pulled for reasons other than being a duplicate, a mail is sent. In the future, mails will automatically be sent when a thread is pulled.
This thread will self destruct in 5 minutes.
This has been suggested before, yet nothing has changed.
My suggestion is that all the moderators should dress and make up themselves just like this:
I wouldn't even care then if they didn't give me a reason why they pulled my post...

Over the years I've been here, there've been countless "why has something been deleted" threads. While many may be honest & genuine queries, it's been my observation that most have been generated by malcontents seeking hard & fast, detailed rules, merely so they could have the opportunity of "catching" an inconsistancy that they could raise a bigger ruckus about.
I haven't always agreed with everything I've observed, but I'd estimate that the discretionary judgement that's been used has been appropriate 99.99% of the time.
Chalk me up among those who "permit" JimRob and the Mods to be normal humans and occasionally fallible. IMHO, management has every right to be "inconsistant" at times, whether by human nature or intentional. I have no problems with judicious flexibility, tightening or loosening of the reins as necessitated by the behavior of forum participants.
Just my humble opinion.
