That's the reference. Actually, I think I will leave it up for a while. It might do some good to have the suggestions I gave above get a good viewing, and besides, the forum hasn't had a good old-fashioned rip-the-moderators thread in a long time (FAB excepted, of course).

...and besides, the forum hasn't had a good old-fashioned rip-the-moderators thread in a long time I am not ripping the moderators. I am the nicest guy you will find. If I was wearing a tie that you liked, I would take it off and give it to you (and that was not plagarised from the Catcher in The Rye). :)

When the Yonkers chemical poisoning was first being reported (a few days ago), not only was it removed from "Breaking" several times, but also several threads were deleted (one after another, not simultaneous posts).
This was a significant occurrence. Several people tried posting. Each linked to an online news report via a Yonkers area TV station. It was a real event. At least 2 consecutive posts were removed before a posting "stayed" and it was continually removed from "breaking."
Events such as this, it would certainly seem, deserve "alertive" status.
Sometimes postings are spontaneous, inappropriate, and without validation. But sometimes, moderators seem too quick on the delete key. And at all times moderating forums is like herding cats. It's those calico ones--they are the trouble makers. They should all be banned. And those siamese, especially the ones with each eye of a different color--they are weird.

the forum hasn't had a good old-fashioned rip-the-moderators thread in a long time I think the mods do a great job around here. I've had tons of posts pulled and never ONCE complained. I tend to be far out so I expect it. I've also seen lots of my posts that I thought would surely be pulled remain.
I guess my only concern is when it comes to political speech. Something like "Bush is an a**hole RINO" should be pulled. Something like "Bush is a friggin' idiot RINO for signing the farmer welfare bill" shouldn't.
I wouldn't want your job. Too much gray area to deal with.
