So we go from "Don't give us information that is general and non-specific" after 9/11, to "why didn't you give us general and non-specific information" prior to any concept of the threat and devistation to come, pre 9/11......

Dodd telling anyone how to do their job is laughable....

LA Times story on same date, describing outrage over "general, non-specific" warnings, by the same folks, who 7 months later, are feigning outrage over the issue of
NOT releasing "general, non-specific" warnings.

No problem, the DemonRats haven't figured out yet that they have embraced another losing issue. They latched onto Enron and had to back off, looking totally stupid in the process, because their own people were more involved than anybody in the Bush administration.
Now they're going to latch onto this, thinking that people don't realize that both houses of Congress had the same info as the President did. This problem could have been nipped in the bud as early as 1995 if Klinton hadn't been so busy dealing with his personal problems.

Dodd is a dope. "Uh don't tell us anything, uh why didn't you tell us anything?". Geesh!
Thank goodness for the Internet and sites like FreeRepublic. Every day more people have access to information that would have been kept away from the public just a few years ago or filtered by the big 3 networks. At least WE know what's really happening. And so do more people every day.
Three cheers for FreeRepublic! Hip-hip......

Great find. This whole thing is rather disgusting.

"...1995 if Klinton hadn't been so busy dealing with his personal problems." I remember all of Clintoon's gang saying he was so superly multi-faceted that nothing bothered
him when it came to doing the work the American people hired him to do even between oval office sex-cigarathons.

Sen. Richard Durbin (Ill.) said the Democratic Caucus wants to be as cautious as the administration but wondered whether that kind of vague warning would only create more fear and anxiety. I think we have to caution the administration to be careful, Durbin said. They can only do this so many times before they lose their credibility.Blah, blah...blah, blah blah, blah...blah, blah, blah, blah.
Give it a rest Dickie.

Well, the Dems strategy to bring down President Bush is becoming clearer by the day.
They're coming out with all guns blazing, folks. They have absolutely nothing else. There is no longer any doubt that the intent here is to use every tool at their disposal, especially the Marxist media, to attempt to destroy the President. They will do whatever, and I do mean whatever they can to keep this alive until the election.
I really hope they are taking notice of this at the White House and have some sort of plan to fight back. This is pure Marxist warfare and the Republicans better realize that and start aiming their own guns before it is too late. It is imperative that we keep hammering them accusation for accusation, attack for attack, until they are driven back into their caves like the filthy animals that they are.
It can be done, easily. Do the Republicans have the stones to do what they have to do?

This is an absolutely fantastic find. Although I think a bunch of us are a little embarassed that we didn't remember this so-recent Democrat smear campaign - from exactly the opposite quarter.
This is the perfect piece of doo-doo to mash in the Democrats' face and say "Well, what the hell do you want?! Vague warnings or no? You've had it both ways and you're STILL looking for an election issue."

Bump, just in case a Senate democRAT is surfing (other than porn sites).

"Although I think a bunch of us are a little embarassed that we didn't remember this so-recent Democrat smear campaign - from exactly the opposite quarter."Considering the comments I've been reading right here for that past few days, I sincerely hope so...but I doubt it. Those of us who fell for the left-wing's GW conspiracy campaign will just lay low and stay real quiet for a while...until the Dems come out with their NEXT smear campaign, when they'll come back out in force and do the left wing's dirty work FOR them. Again.
Yeah, I'm still RAELLY steamed about the hatefulness and selective amnesia of a few freepers.
