I tend to believe that your statement is more prevalent amongst the college age and under crowd, though we have our share of immature individuals, too.

why bother? the public scrools are lost, hopeless. Get your kids out NOW, home school or Private Christian school...whats more important? your kids or that shiny new care in the drive? there really is no excuse!

You may check if there are any statues against homosexual acts in your state (I know that they are still on the books in Texas even if they aren't enforced).

The schools have this idea that all of the above will turn out nice, respectful children who will love and hug everyone and all will be well with the world and due to their efforts, Utopia will envelope the earth.

I think that what most schools have is an idea, that if they just go along with what the NEA and those who share the mindset that it represents are pushing, their local bureaucracies will have far less problems than if they actually try to analyze anything. No one who stops and analyzes--who is not a total dysron--could possibly conclude that what is being pushed today in the name of education is anything but socially destructive.

There are two very important issues here. First, parents have the absolute moral duty to protect their children not only from this sort of brainwashing, but from all aspects of the Leftist orientation of the public schools. If you send children to a public school, you MUST actively instruct them in basic values at home, with sufficient intensity as to make sure that they have the personal tools to resist the brainwashing planned for them. The education of children has always been primarily the responsibility of parents. That has never been altered, however the NEA crowd would like to confuse the issue.

Secondly, however, the use of tax funds to indoctrinate children into conformity with the compulsion driven agenda of the Left, can never be acceptable in a free society. If that means voting down school levies, and turning school boards that will not stand for your values, out of office, then that must be done. If it means voting out members of the State Legislatures, who will not stand for traditional Western values in education--not the least of which is that the public school has no right to turn children away from their parents' teaching--then turn them out.

There are really very few issues as important as this one.

The board owners are huge animal rights people and they seem to take offense at this, our 2nd Ammend. and a few other things.
