A 5-year-old Rancho Cordova girl will return to kindergarten at the Capital Christian School after being expelled last week because administrators discovered her mother works as a nude dancer.

Christina Silvas, 24, agreed to stop working at Gold Club Centerfolds off Highway 50 for at least the next three weeks so her daughter can graduate from kindergarten and attend the end-of-the-year pool party she had been looking forward to.

Well, I don't dance unless I'm drunk.

I don't get drunk, but when I dance I look drunk!

It is definitely insane. The immoral are celebrated, while the moral are slandered.

However, the wise know what is right and wrong.

She's paying 400 bucks a month to put her kid in KINDERGARTEN?

What century did you just transport yourself from. In 2002 in places like California that is what school costs.

i can't tell you how impressed i am with the tremendous sacrifice this mom is making for her child, by giving up stripping for 3 whole weeks, so little girl can graduate and enjoy the end of year party. She is truly a martyr.../sarcasm.

Too bad this pompous, self-righteous, nanny church couldn't bring itself to practice the teachings of Christ.

Even Christ, in anger, threw the money-changers from the temple. The church group has a code of conduct to uphold-- and EVERYONE is accountable. Remember how your teacher punished the whole class, when there was an infraction? You didn't think it was fair-- but it worked. Public schools do the same thing with families at times-- suspension can punish the family more than the kid, who thinks he's getting an extra vacation-- and the way this is being handled, it's likely Mom didn't say to daughter she's expelled because of Mommy's stripping, but told her they don't like Mommy's job. The school probably said NOTHING to daughter, just handed her pink slip to her mother.

Don't you just hate it when someone trangsresses your own personal moral code and gets away with it?

Maybe you and the mom see it that way. I would expect the Church leaders are feeling transgressed, themselves-- look, they're going to compromise with a person who has no intention of making a full, and complete repentence. "Go they way, AND SIN NO MORE." Thankfully, we don't have to be the judge, but the mom said she wasn't proud of her job-- are you saying that her own feelings of guilt are the result of someothers' trangression? The woman was conflicted from day 1. What's with people who feel transgressed by others, when they really do it to themselves?

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Besides, what sin did this woman commit?

Go look it up for yourself.

Sorry-- I won't look THERE. But I think the administrator has his bases covered, because there must've been some understanding that THIS woman wasn't going to get upset about publicity. That she wanted a quiet weekend w/o the media, does not disallow the Pastor from taking the opportunity to teach his flock.

She has "soft" Affective Spectrum Disorder symptoms as opposed to "hard" Affective Specturm Disorder symptoms of mailbox bomber.

Could it be Aggressive Behavior in Patients With Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder?

"Interestingly, there is substantial overlap between OCD and borderline personality disorder,5 and this subgroup of OCD patients has increased impulsive-aggressive behaviors.2 While compulsivity and impulsivity both involve repetitive behaviors and the inability to delay or inhibit acting on these repetitive behaviors, they involve different driving mechanisms. Compulsive behaviors are driven by the need to avoid or reduce anxiety and discomfort. Impulsive behaviors are driven by the desire to seek pleasure, arousal, and gratification."

She did it for her daughter.

I see a movie about the whole situation coming soon. It's like "Flashdance" meets "Footloose".

Oh wait! I think it's already been made. I forgot about "Striptease". I'll have to look into this further.

The woman isn't being stoned-- she was asked to repent of the activity that violates her church/school contract. The stoning will come later-- if she doesn't repent. It could be difficult to find someone without sin to cast it, but God-willing, (s)he'll do it. ;-)

The word stoned isn't to be taken literally. It means don't be so critical of others, especially since they are not directly hurting you. She didn't commit any sin, she did nothing untoward to the Church and she didn't perform in the church per se. It's none of the church's business, nor yours, to take action against her since she has broken no laws and is not harming you or the church.

No wonder liberals can accuse, accurately, conservatives as being sanctimonious busy bodies who want nothing more than to censor the private lives of everyone else.

I'd like to know where the administrators get off telling parents what jobs they can have. How dare they expell a child because of the job her mother, who is trying to provide for her, is doing? This is America? Some freedom.
