Hi Mama,
try this URL: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2101063561
The guy's name is Randy Riddle and he sells on Ebay as The Dixie Dealers. I JUST bought a Gadsden patch for my backpack (goin' to Europe; my way of showin' my unusual American pride!); doesn't look like he has any car size flags in stock but could probably special order that for you. His products are A-1 and he ships FAST.
hope this helps!

Uh, and I hate to say it, but I don't think that's the real design. As far as I know, the Gadsden doesn't have a phrase on it regarding arm-bearing. It just says Don't Tread on Me. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.
I do believe there are a few different versions, though.......I like the other, as it has green in it...

Hi Think
I've been thinking about your problem (Danger, Will Robinson! Danger!), and really can't think of anything that would work without making the flags too stiff to flutter properly :(. There's one slim possibility, though...a varnish that you can use to spray onto paintings to preserve the surface. But you might run into the stiffness problem, since I've never tried it on loose fabric, only stretched canvas. If you'd like to try it, say on a piece of rag or something to see how it reacts to a piece of loose cloth, you can get a spray can of it in most art supply places for a few dollars. It usually comes in a matte finish as well as a glossy one, so I would think the matte would work best. If you have a choice of damar varnish or acrylic finish, I'd go for the acrylic because it dries faster and doesn't turn that nasty yellow over time... the fabric should hold its original colors.
I wish you well with this :).

Hi Ta Ra :). This is the same website that Deport posted, and son-of-a-gun there's a 12" x 18" Culpepper on the page that I completely missed the first time I looked, the second time I looked (when Deport posted it), and almost missed this time :). Mama is getting senile, I think! LOL!
I'm going to order that one, but now that I've got my mind cranking on the problem of silk-screening a Gadsden, I think I'm going to go ahead and try that, too :).
Thanks!

Here's an additional suggestion, if You want to go the screen printing route.
Try Your local Community College Art department.
They have the equipment already, and as an art project, some of the students may be willing to do Your flags for a fraction of the cost of trying to do them Your self, or having them done commercially.
Best of Luck.
